It felt less like a tool and more like an entire universe, teeming with beings who actually knew what they were doing. Career Compass had called this stage a “Quest: The Informational Interview,” a mission to gather intel from the seasoned explorers of this professional jungle. My secret fear, that gnawing whisper that I wasn’t good enough, felt louder than ever. What if I reached out and they just… ignored me? Or worse, what if they realized I had no idea what I was talking about?
“Remember, Alex,” Career Compass’s calm, synthesized voice echoed in my mind, “each connection is a potential doorway. Not every door leads to your destination, but each one offers a new perspective.”
