The Second Light
The star cat gives Mikutis a silver spark that restores his forgotten dream of flying. Combining the first light and the second light, Mikutis creates a new song that pushes back the shadow hand and begins to heal the sky crack. But as the darkness recedes, a new rift opens beneath the farm, revealing a deeper imbalance.
The star cat stood on the windmill's railing, its silver fur glowing like moonlight on snow. In its paw, the tiny spark pulsed with a gentle rhythm, like a heartbeat. The shadow hand above them paused, its fingers curling as if sensing the new light.
Mikutis stared at the spark. "The second light? But I don't understand. The first light is fading. I gave all my hope, and it wasn't enough."
The star cat's eyes softened. "The first light was hope from outside yourself. The second light is hope that lives within you. You gave your dream of flying to the shadow, remember?"
