A case involving deleted messages requires a new approach. Kyle and Lucca explore using technology, perhaps with Ms. Gable's help, to uncover digital clues.
The air in the Casewhill Detective Club’s makeshift headquarters, a repurposed storage closet tucked away behind the library, hummed with a quiet tension. Sunlight, filtered through a grimy window pane, cast elongated shadows across the worn wooden desk where Kyle and Lucca hunched, poring over a crumpled piece of paper. This wasn't their usual sort of mystery. Usually, it involved misplaced treasures or playground squabbles. This one, however, delved into the shadowy world of digital whispers and vanished words.
"It just doesn't make sense, Lucca," Kyle murmured, tracing a line of text with his fingertip. "Maya said she *knows* Liam sent her that message, but when she checked her phone, it was gone. Poof. Like it never existed."
Lucca chewed on the end of his pen, his brow furrowed in concentration. "But how? Texts don't just disappear. Unless… unless he deleted it. Right after he sent it."
