Liam sat opposite her, his gaze steady, a quiet strength radiating from him. He had been her rock, her anchor in the storm, and now, as the dust settled, she felt the first stirrings of a future unburdened by shadows.

“Are you sure about this?” Liam’s voice was soft, a gentle question that acknowledged the enormity of what they had achieved.

Elara nodded, a faint smile touching her lips. “I’m sure. It’s… liberating. To finally be free.” She looked down at her hands, no longer adorned with Julian’s gaudy ring, but simply her own. The absence felt like a breath of fresh air. “It’s still hard to believe it’s over. That he’s… gone.”
