The scent of aged paper and forgotten stories clung to me as I sifted through the dusty contents of my mother’s old study. Each box, each drawer, felt like a Pandora’s Box, and I was hesitantly prying it open. But as I turned the pages, a different narrative began to emerge. There were mentions of "investment opportunities," "strategic alliances," and veiled references to a certain "Thorne family." My breath caught in my throat. Thorne. Julian’s family.
