The page before them was a grand tapestry of familiar shapes. There, in bold, cheerful letters, was the mighty ‘A’, its peak reaching for the sky, its sturdy legs planted firmly. Beside it, the little ‘a’, a perfect little circle with a friendly tail. The writer traced them with their finger, a small smile playing on their lips.
