The sunbeams danced on the page, warming the little writer's fingers as they hovered over the next dotted friend. It was a shape that looked like a half-moon, but with a straight line standing guard on its left side. "Hello there!" whispered the guide, his voice as gentle as a summer breeze. "This is the letter 'D'. Can you feel its roundness, and then the strength of its standing line? Let's trace it together."

The little writer's pencil, a trusty companion, dipped towards the dots. First, the straight line, a confident stroke from top to bottom. Then, the curve, a smooth, happy journey from the top of the line, around and back to the bottom. "D-d-d," the guide sang softly, "like in 'dog'! Can you imagine a wagging tail? Or 'duck'! Quack, quack! Feel the shape of the 'D' as you say the sound."

The little writer’s brow furrowed in concentration, then relaxed into a smile as the shape took form. Another 'D', then another. Each one felt a little more familiar, a little more like their own. The guide cheered silently, his heart swelling with pride. "You're doing wonderfully! Every 'D' you make is a step closer to sharing your own wonderful ideas."
