Chapter 16

The Fallen Angel

A celestial being, cast from the heavens and hunted by its former brethren, seeks refuge in the shadows of the mortal realm. This fallen angel, a creature of immense power and sorrow, presents Bishop Dark with a moral quandary. Is this entity another abomination to be purged, or a potential, albeit unlikely, ally against a greater, encroaching darkness? Bishop Dark must weigh his orders against a gut feeling that something far more sinister is at play.

It was the same look she’d had the first time they’d found themselves alone, the air crackling with forbidden electricity.
