The late afternoon sun cast long shadows across the park, dappling the worn wooden tables where Leo, Maya, Sam, and Chloe gathered. The “Sparkle Clean” window-washing service was officially open for business. Their brightly colored flyers, designed by Maya with a cheerful, sparkling sun, were tucked into a few mailboxes, and a small, hand-painted sign – “Sparkle Clean: Windows So Bright, They’ll Shine All Night!” – stood proudly on Leo’s front lawn. The air buzzed with a mixture of nervous energy and eager anticipation.

“Okay, team,” Leo began, his voice a little higher than usual, “Phase one: operations. Who’s got the squeegees ready?”

Sam bounced on the balls of his feet, clutching a bucket filled with soapy water and a squeegee. “Ready and raring to go! I’ve been practicing on my own window. It’s… mostly streak-free.” He flashed a grin that didn’t quite reach his eyes.
