The Rewop Thing, nestled on its dusty velvet cushion, pulsed with a soft, internal luminescence, casting long, dancing shadows across the eaves. Sarah traced the strange, swirling symbols etched into its metallic surface, her brow furrowed in concentration. Beside her, Eleanor wrung her hands, her gaze darting between the object and the attic's shadowy corners as if expecting something to leap out at them.

"It feels… expectant," Eleanor murmured, her voice barely a whisper. "Like it’s waiting for something."

Sarah nodded, a shiver tracing its way down her spine. "Or someone. But who? And why?" The questions hung in the air, heavy and unanswered. They’d spent weeks with the Rewop Thing, enduring its chaotic interventions, piecing together fragments of its power, but its origin, its very essence, remained an enigma.
