Chapter 5
Forging the Iron Will
Through practical exercises and relatable anecdotes, Elias begins to internalize Mashal's teachings. He learns to channel his ambition, transforming raw desire into a focused, disciplined force.
The air in Hasnain’s small apartment hung thick and still, a familiar shroud woven from the threads of his own indecision. Dust motes danced in the slivers of weak afternoon sun that dared to penetrate the grimy windowpanes, each one a tiny, ephemeral testament to the passage of time he felt slipping through his fingers. But the ground within him felt more like a barren wasteland, parched by procrastination and choked by the weeds of distraction.
His phone buzzed, a jarring intrusion into the fragile quiet. Jawariya. Of course. A fresh wave of irritation, familiar and unwelcome, washed over him. Jawariya, with his blustering pronouncements and his knack for conjuring chaos from thin air, was the antithesis of the order Hasnain craved. He let the call go to voicemail, the unanswered chime a small, defiant act. It was a tiny victory, a flicker of the control Mashal spoke of, but it was a start.
