“Heard from Emily this morning, Dad,” Sarah murmured, her voice raspy. She managed a weak smile, a testament to her enduring spirit. “She’s feeling a bit stronger today. Noah’s drawing her pictures of spaceships, you know. Says they’re going to fly to Mars and bring back a magic cure.”
