The air in the Underworld had always been heavy, thick with the scent of damp earth and something akin to forgotten regrets, but here, at the edge of Grolok’s domain, it felt as if the very atmosphere had solidified into a suffocating blanket of dread. Luna shivered, not from cold, but from the palpable aura of menace that radiated from the desolate landscape ahead. Twisted, skeletal trees clawed at a bruised, perpetually twilight sky, their branches devoid of leaves, like the grasping fingers of the damned.
