With her friend's help, Sesha flees to Bangalore, seeking refuge and a chance to forget Charan. She starts a new life as a receptionist, but her heart aches for what she lost.
The pre-dawn chill of Chennai clung to Sesha’s skin like a shroud as she slipped out of the shared taxi. Her friend, Priya, her face etched with a mixture of concern and grim determination, squeezed her hand. “Are you sure about this, Sesha?” she whispered, her voice barely audible above the rumble of distant traffic.
Sesha nodded, a lump forming in her throat. “I have to be, Priya. I can’t stay. Not after… not after last night.” The memory of Charan’s hand, his slap, still burned on her cheek, a phantom pain that radiated deeper than flesh. It was the betrayal, though, the stark, cold suspicion that had bloomed in her heart like a poisonous flower, that had truly broken her. She couldn't bear to look at him, couldn't bear to be in the same city, the same air, as the man who had shattered her world.
Priya pulled her into a tight embrace. “Bangalore is a fresh start,” she murmured, her voice thick with emotion. “You’ll find a new job, a new place. You’ll be safe.” She pulled away, her eyes searching Sesha’s. “And you’ll forget him. You have to.”
