Chapter 12
The Glitter is Contained
The disco ball cake successfully neutralizes the glitter's chaotic energy. The city begins to return to its normal, less sparkly state, much to the relief of its inhabitants.

“Aha!” Elara exclaimed, her voice hoarse from a week of shouting over the fizzing starter and the mayor’s increasingly irate pronouncements. She wiped a smear of ganache from her cheek with the back of her hand, leaving a faint, unintentional shimmer. “It worked! Oh, Grandmother, you’d be so proud, even if this wasn’t exactly your sourdough’s intended destiny.”
