Chapter 13
Renewed Promises
Standing together, hand in hand, Zee and her husband looked at each other with eyes that held a newfound depth of understanding and appreciation. The vows they had exchanged so quickly now resonated with a profound significance, renewed not by ceremony, but by the journey they had undertaken. Their love for their family, and for each other, had been tested and proven. His gaze met mine, and in that shared look, I saw it all – the dizzying speed of our beginning, the quiet joys of our everyday, the recent tempest that had threatened to uproot us, and the unwavering strength that had seen us through.
“They’re growing up so fast,” he murmured, his thumb gently stroking the back of my hand.
