Chapter 4
The Girls' New Domain
Miliana and Kiana are thrilled with their new, separate bedrooms. The shift in the household dynamic creates a sense of new beginnings and independence for the twins.
The scent of fresh paint and new bedding still lingered in the air, a sweet perfume that spoke of change and possibility. Miliana and Kiana, their ten-year-old eyes wide with a mixture of excitement and awe, explored their newly christened domains. Each girl now had her own room, a concept so foreign and wonderful it felt like stepping into a dream.
Miliana, ever the more introspective twin, stood in the center of her room, a soft sigh escaping her lips. Across the hall, Kiana was a whirlwind of joyous energy. She bounced on her new bed, the springs protesting with a cheerful squeak. Her room was painted a vibrant, sunny yellow, a reflection of her own bright spirit. Posters of her favorite singers adorned the walls, and a collection of plush toys, each with its own personality, were neatly arranged on a shelf. She threw open the doors of her new wardrobe, admiring the neatly hung clothes and the empty shelves begging to be filled with treasures. "Miliana!" she called, her voice echoing down the hallway, a little too loud, a little too eager. "Come look at my closet! It's huge!"
