The evening sky was a tapestry of deep, velvety blue, sprinkled with a million tiny diamonds. Among them, a special star, our Little Star, blinked with a gentle, silver shimmer. It had a message, a whisper carried on the night breeze, a promise of new adventures and dreams waiting to unfold. With a soft shake and a gleam, Little Star began its journey, a tiny beacon in the vast expanse.

The world below was a place of wonder, a grand stage with so much to see and do. But for the young girl, whose name was Mei, this grand stage sometimes felt a little overwhelming. New things, even exciting ones, could bring a flutter of nervousness, a whisper of doubt that made her feel cautious and wary. Today, that feeling was particularly strong as she looked at her plate.

It was a plate piled high with food she’d never seen before. Strange, vibrant green florets nestled beside a mound of fluffy, pale rice, all drizzled with a sauce that smelled faintly sweet and tangy. Mei wrinkled her nose. Her tummy gave a little flip-flop. “No,” she thought, her mind already preparing the polite refusal. It looked…different. And different, to Mei, often meant unknown, and unknown could be a little scary.
