The sun is up, the air is cool, Why, oh, why do I have to go to school? The birds are singing, sweet and clear, But all I hear is "School is near!"

My toys are waiting, soft and bright, To play with me with all their might. The garden calls, with flowers grand, But I must leave this happy land.

My boots are by the door, so neat, My backpack waits, a heavy treat. My lunchbox packed, with snacks inside, But oh, the world where I must hide!
