I don't want to take a nap, The sun is bright, the sky is blue, Why must I close my eyes so tight, When there are so many things to do?

My toys are waiting, lined up neat, My books are calling out my name, The garden needs my busy feet, This day is far too grand to tame!

A nap means dreams I might forget, Of cloud-spun castles, brave and bold, Of secrets whispered, softly met, And stories waiting to unfold.
