A Voice Reborn
The air in the hidden garden hummed with a new kind of life, a vibrancy that Eliza had only dreamed of. It was a symphony of rustling leaves, chirping crickets, and the gentle murmur of a nearby stream, all woven together by the melody that had drawn her here. It was a melody that felt like home, like a forgotten part of herself finally remembered. She stood at the edge of a sun-dappled clearing, her heart thrumming with a mixture of trepidation and a curious, burgeoning hope.
A wise old owl, perched on a branch heavy with blossoms, blinked his large, knowing eyes at her. "Welcome, Eliza," he hooted, his voice like the rustle of ancient parchment. "We have been expecting you."
Beside him, a squirrel with a tail like a question mark chattered excitedly. "Indeed! Though you were rather quiet on your journey here. A bit *too* quiet, if you ask me!" He twitched his nose, his beady eyes sparkling with playful mischief.
