Chapter 6
A Future Confirmed
On exam day, Jhon submits his paper. Alice watches him, a knowing smile on her face. She touches her belly, anticipating their future, hinting at more lessons to come after class.
The fluorescent lights of the classroom hummed, a sterile counterpoint to the nervous energy thrumming beneath the surface of the students. Jhon, his pen clutched a little too tightly, scanned the questions on the final exam paper. Each word felt both familiar and impossibly distant, a testament to the late nights spent poring over textbooks and the even later nights spent in Alice’s warm embrace. He could feel her gaze on him, a gentle weight that was no longer laced with the shame he’d once perceived in her eyes, but with a quiet confidence, a shared secret.
He remembered the first time he’d truly seen her, not just as his teacher, but as *Alice*. It had been in the hushed intimacy of her small, modest home, the air thick with the scent of old books and something uniquely her. The floral dress, a riot of colours that seemed to bloom against her generous form, had done little to conceal the sheer expanse of her. He’d been so acutely aware of their proximity on the worn sofa, the way her ample belly pressed against his side, a warm, living presence. His own nervousness had been a palpable thing, a tight knot in his chest, yet it had been overshadowed by a strange sense of peace. He’d found himself stealing glances, not with the furtive, judgmental eyes of someone else, but with a growing curiosity, a dawning appreciation. The deep V-neck of her dress offered a tantalizing glimpse of the swell of her breasts, their gentle rise and fall with each breath a silent rhythm that had, inexplicably, soothed his own restless spirit.
“Are you looking, Jhon?” Her voice, then, had been a soft murmur, tinged with a familiar embarrassment. “It’s alright… I know I’m unsightly. No one has looked at me in years.”
