Nishane Haider’s heart felt like a hummingbird’s wings, fluttering with a joy so bright it almost buzzed. He had done it! He had helped the little wilting flower, the one that had looked so sad and droopy yesterday. He had remembered Ammi’s words, about not giving up, and Professor Owl’s quiet suggestion to observe, to really *see*. And it had worked! The flower, which he had gently watered and then placed back in its sunny spot, was no longer bowing its head in sadness. Its petals, a cheerful shade of yellow, were now held high, almost as if it were smiling at the sun. A tiny ladybug, its shell a vibrant red with perfect black dots, was slowly making its way up one of the flower’s sturdy green stems. It was a beautiful sight, a testament to patience and a little bit of learned wisdom.

He couldn’t keep this wonderful secret to himself. His feet barely touched the ground as he raced out of his garden, past the sturdy oak tree where Professor Owl often perched, and towards the path that led to Lily’s house. He imagined Lily’s bright eyes widening with surprise and then shining with excitement as he told her. He wanted to see that spark of curiosity ignite in her, just like it had in him. Ammi always said that knowledge was like a garden; the more you shared, the more it grew. And Nishane was ready to plant a seed of wonder in his best friend.

He burst through Lily’s garden gate, a whirlwind of happy energy. Lily was sitting on her porch swing, a half-finished drawing of a butterfly resting on her lap. She looked up, startled, then a wide smile spread across her face. "Nishane! What's all the rush?" she exclaimed, her voice warm and welcoming.
