Sophia leaned back in her chair, a nostalgic smile playing on her lips as she began to recount the tale to her captivated teammates. "It was right after graduation," she began, her eyes twinkling with the memory. "Jake and I had been dating throughout college, and we were both feeling... restless, I guess. Like we were on the brink of something big, but we didn't know what."
She paused, chuckling softly. "We were at this party - one of those post-graduation bashes, you know? And in the middle of all the chaos, Jake turns to me and says, 'Let's do something crazy.' I thought he meant a spontaneous road trip or moving to New York or something."
Her teammates leaned in, clearly engrossed in the story. Sophia continued, her voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper, "But then he says, 'Let's join the Navy.' Just like that. And you know what's even crazier? I said yes."
