It wasn't a ghost story; it was a cage, and whatever her grandmother had put inside, Grandpa Bob had helped.

“So,” Connor began, his voice a little too loud, a little too strained, “he… he trapped it?”

Amy nodded, her eyes still fixed on the page detailing the ritual, the symbols, the sheer, terrifying force required. “He and Grandma. They… they couldn’t destroy it, so they locked it away. Here.” She gestured vaguely around the room, the implication hanging heavy in the silence. The journal spoke of a ‘threshold’ and ‘binding runes,’ words that now echoed with a chilling reality.
