Chapter 4
Whispers of the Wise
Big Mama, the community's watchful elder, observes the rising tension. She holds secrets of the past, her wisdom a beacon, but her wary relationship with Capone means her counsel is often unheeded.
The air in West Greenville hung thick and heavy, not just with the usual summer humidity that clung to the skin like a second shirt, but with a palpable tension. He was Scarface, the man who wore his scars like a badge of honor, a constant reminder of the battles fought and won. But Big Mama knew the man beneath the legend, the weight of the crown he wore, the isolation that came with ruling with an iron fist.
