Chapter 9
A Calculated Risk
Capone's lieutenant proposes a daring plan to outmaneuver Gunns. It involves a strategic strike designed to cripple Gunns' operations and sow discord within his ranks.
The air in Capone’s war room, a dimly lit basement beneath El Fuego’s Cantina, hung thick with the reek of stale cigar smoke and the coppery tang of anticipation. Maps of the city’s underbelly, scrawled with territorial lines and marked with red Xs where Gunns’ boys had dared to tread, lay spread across a scarred oak table.
