The air hung thick and heavy, a suffocating blanket woven from the stench of exhaust fumes, stale urine, and the metallic tang of anticipation. It was the kind of quiet that precedes a hurricane, not the peaceful kind, but the violent, earth-shattering kind that tore through cities and left behind only rubble. King Capone stood at the precipice, the familiar weight of his crown pressing down, not on his head, but on his soul. He’d seen this play out before, in different arenas, with different players, but the stakes had never felt quite this high. The YNs were his brothers, his family, and the thought of any more of them falling prey to Gunns’ ambition gnawed at him.
