The stage lights felt warmer now, more familiar. Not just the blinding glare of a thousand cameras, but the gentle glow of accomplishment, of a battle won. The roar of the crowd, usually a tempest of adoration, now held a different sort of energy – a grateful hum, a shared exhale after the storm. We’d done it. Jaehyun and I, alongside Mira and the rest of the huntx squad, had faced down the Shadow Demon, armed with little more than synchronized moves, a legendary K-pop album, and an unwavering belief in the power of hope.

Life, as it turned out, had a way of throwing curveballs, even after you’d dodged the demonic ones. Being an idol was a whirlwind of practice rooms, fan meets, and the constant pressure to be perfect. But now, layered on top of that, was the exhilarating, terrifying, and surprisingly normal-feeling responsibility of being a huntx.

Jaehyun and I were inseparable, a fact that sent ripples of delighted squeals through our fandom and, I suspected, a few confused frowns through the K-pop elders who were still trying to wrap their heads around our dual careers. We’d perfected the art of the seamless transition. One moment, we'd be locked in a fierce, gravity-defying dance routine on stage, bathed in neon and adulation. The next, we’d be slipping away to a quiet corner, Jaehyun’s hand finding mine, his whispered words about an upcoming demon sighting more intimate than any ballad.
