Chapter 25

Chapter 25 — What Stays

Alex spends the night with Eleanor by the creek and walks her back to her cabin at first light. In the quiet aftermath, he feels a growing sense that the commune no longer fits the future he imagined for himself. He speaks with Gene about the apprenticeship and receives a college brochure Jessica left for him. JJ finds him at the hot tub and they have a candid conversation about what comes next. Alex realizes he needs to decide who he is beyond the summer's pursuits.
