Chapter 10
Walter's Wisdom
Walter, now more respected, offers surprisingly profound insights into modern humor and societal shifts. His grumpy observations become comedic gold, appreciated by Jeff and the audience alike.

It was a foreign sensation, a shift in the established order that had Jeff Dunham feeling like the conductor of an orchestra suddenly improvising a jazz solo. Walter, the grumpy, curmudgeonly patriarch of his puppet family, was no longer just the source of eye-rolls and exasperated sighs. He had, through sheer force of his cantankerous will, become… wise.

Achmed, ever the stoic, was meticulously cleaning his boney fingers with a tiny, invisible cloth. And Walter, perched on his usual stool, his perpetually furrowed brow etched even deeper, was observing Jeff’s frantic pre-show checks with the discerning eye of a seasoned art critic appraising a toddler’s finger painting.
“You know, Jeff,” Walter rasped, his voice like gravel being poured into a tin can, “you’re still doing that thing where you tug at your collar. Like you’re auditioning for a role as a nervous bank teller, not a world-famous comedian.”
