Chapter 4
The Editor's Eye
Anya, Aria's sharp-witted best friend and discerning editor, arrives for their scheduled manuscript review. My hand, still clutching my favorite fountain pen, trembled slightly. Anya stood in the doorway, a vision of organized efficiency in her tailored blazer, her dark hair pulled back in its usual sleek ponytail, her eyes – perceptive, intelligent – taking in the scene with an almost surgical precision.
