Chapter 9
Std::cout << "Binary Process" - The Illusion of Simple Choices
Anonymous Author returns to the Vilnius Radio Museum to study the binary logic behind the Soviet IQ classification system. The Archivist provides a transcript from a 1983 psychiatric conference where the system's architects refined the decision tree. The Weaver of Connections helps interpret the emotional cost of such binary filters. The Unseen Catalyst appears as a distorted radio broadcast that plays a binary sequence, forcing Anonymous Author to confront the simplicity of the system. The chapter ends with Anonymous Author deciding to map the entire decision tree of the past, a task that feels both daunting and necessary.
Anonymous Author arrived at the Vilnius Radio Museum just as the morning light filtered through the tall windows of the main hall. The Archivist was already waiting, a thick folder on the table beside her spectacles. The Weaver of Connections sat nearby, sipping tea and watching the door.
"You came early," the Archivist said, pushing the folder toward Anonymous Author. "I managed to get the transcript from the 1983 conference. It's the full proceedings of the psychiatric committee that designed the IQ classification system."
Anonymous Author sat down and opened the folder. The pages were yellowed, typed in Russian with handwritten annotations in the margins. The first page was a title: "Conference on the Standardization of Diagnostic Criteria for Deviant Intellectual Profiles."
