Anonymous Author, the Archivist, and the Weaver of Connections examine the original decision tree documentation from the Soviet psychiatric system. They discover the 'main function' that integrated the constitution, criminal code, and medical IQ into a single binary process. The Unseen Catalyst appears through a radio broadcast that plays a code snippet, leading Anonymous Author to realize that the core of existence is not the system but the human spirit. The chapter ends with a resolve to write a new main function.
The morning light filtered through the museum's tall windows as Anonymous Author arrived at the third-floor room. The Archivist was already there, a stack of folders spread across the table. The Weaver of Connections sat by the window, a cup of tea steaming in her hands.
"I found the original documentation," the Archivist said, adjusting her spectacles. "The complete decision tree. It's in a series of notebooks from the 1980s."
Anonymous Author sat down, the weight of the previous days' discoveries still pressing on their shoulders. The punch cards, the binary labels, the lives reduced to holes. Now they would see the full architecture.
