It wasn't just one weight, but a thousand, a million, each one a problem, a worry, a fear, a failure, a disappointment. They piled up, higher and higher, until I felt buried beneath them, a forgotten relic in the debris of my own life.

The days blurred into a monotonous cycle of struggle. Wake up, face the mountain, and try to chip away at it with hands that felt too small, too weak. There were moments, in the suffocating quiet of the early morning before the world stirred, when the sheer magnitude of it all would hit me with an almost physical blow. The bills that mocked me from the kitchen counter, the unanswered calls that echoed with unspoken needs, the gnawing emptiness in my stomach that was more than just hunger. It was the hunger for peace, for a moment’s respite, for a sign that this wasn’t my forever.

The Inner Voice, that insidious whisper that had begun as a murmur, now roared. *See? You’re drowning. You always knew this would happen. You’re not strong enough. You never were.* It fed on my exhaustion, on the ache in my bones, on the hollowness behind my eyes. It painted vivid pictures of my failures, replaying them with cruel detail, each one a stone added to the already unbearable load. I found myself avoiding mirrors, not wanting to see the defeated stranger staring back, the stranger who was rapidly becoming me.
