Chapter 7: The Mysterious Marshmallow Machine
Owlette, Pip, and Fern are assigned a secret project by Mr. Pine: to invent something that helps everyone in the class. Excited but unsure, the trio debates ideas, forms a hypothesis, and learns through trial and error that sometimes, even a wrong answer leads to discovery. Their teamwork strengthens as they realize the value of different viewpoints and the fun of not always knowing what will happen next.
The next week began with a buzz in Mr. Pine’s classroom. As soon as the class found their seats, Mr. Pine hopped in, his tail all a-fluff. He carried a box labeled: "TOP SECRET!"
“Today,” he announced, “you and your groups will invent something to help everyone in Piney Grove! You won’t know if it’s perfect until you try it. That’s the fun part!”
Owlette felt a flutter in her chest. The last project brought her and her friends closer, but inventing? That sounded hard. Pip wiggled with excitement. Fern gave an encouraging giggle.
