Chapter 12
Love and Loyalty
Sarah and Alex navigate the aftermath of her choice. Their relationship faces new trials, testing the boundaries of love, trust, and survival in the face of his criminal empire.

“You’re still here,” Alex’s voice, a low rumble that used to send shivers of delight down her spine, now carried a tremor of something akin to disbelief. He stood in the doorway of the living room, his usual impeccably tailored suit replaced by a soft grey sweater that did little to soften the hard lines of his jaw.
