The air in this peculiar land tasted like… well, it tasted like nothing. Elara sniffed disdainfully. Back home, the air was a symphony of jasmine, roasting boar, and, most importantly, the intoxicating fragrance of freshly fried dough dusted with cinnamon. Here, it was just… English. And the English, bless their plain-spoken hearts, were utterly incapable of understanding the most fundamental of human desires.

Her stomach rumbled, a dramatic counterpoint to the polite, meaningless chatter that swirled around her. It wasn’t just hunger; it was a *craving*. A deep, soul-stirring ache for a golden, crispy spiral of pure joy, dusted with sugar and cinnamon, preferably dipped in thick, dark chocolate. A churro. The word itself was a melodic sigh on her tongue, a whisper of comfort in this bewildering wilderness.

“¡Churros!” she declared, her voice ringing with the desperation of a desert wanderer spotting an oasis. She’d been trying for days, using every ounce of her regal presence and linguistic prowess. She’d pointed to the sky, mimed twisting dough, even attempted a dramatic dance that, in hindsight, probably looked more like she was swatting at invisible flies.
