The Royal Misunderstanding

King Reginald, still suspicious, confronts Elara. His attempts at communication, laced with his own failed Spanish attempts, only escalate the comical chaos and Elara's distress.

King Reginald, a man whose brow seemed perpetually furrowed in a quest for cosmic order, stood before Elara. His royal robes, the color of a particularly aggressive plum, rustled with an air of self-importance. He cleared his throat, a sound like a small, disgruntled badger shifting in its sleep. “Madam,” he boomed, his voice echoing slightly in the cavernous hall. “We demand an explanation.”

Elara, who had spent the last hour oscillating between a state of bewildered panic and a desperate craving for a perfectly fried, sugar-dusted churro, blinked at him. His plum-colored robes were certainly… a choice. And his badger-throat clearing was quite unsettling. She tilted her head, her gaze sweeping over his stern face, searching for any hint of recognition, any flicker of understanding. Alas, there was none. Only a formidable wall of English incomprehension.

“*¿Entiende usted?*” she ventured, her voice a soft, melodic Spanish, laced with a desperate hope. “*Soy la Princesa Elara. Necesito… necesito churros. ¡Por favor!*”
