The air in the abandoned warehouse thrummed with a raw, untamed energy. Beneath the flickering emergency lights, a kaleidoscope of faces, a sea of anonymity, surged and swayed to a bass line that vibrated through the concrete floor and into Chloe’s very bones. Tonight, she wasn’t Chloe Smith, the perfect heiress, the star of Crestmont’s cheer squad. Tonight, she was Cee, a phantom, a force of nature moving through the shadows.
