Elder Lyra’s chambers were a sanctuary of hushed reverence, a stark contrast to the clamor of the Lumina court. Scrolls, brittle with age, lined the walls, their parchment whispering secrets of forgotten ages. The air, thick with the scent of dried herbs and the faint, sweet perfume of moonpetal incense, settled over Elara like a comforting cloak. She sat opposite the Elder, her hands clasped tightly in her lap, the usual fire in her eyes banked to a hesitant glow.

Lyra’s gaze, ancient and sharp, met Elara’s with an unnerving gentleness. Her face, a roadmap of a life lived through centuries, crinkled at the corners of her eyes. “You carry a heavy burden, child,” she said, her voice a low murmur, like pebbles smoothed by the ceaseless tide. “The weight of kingdoms, and the weight of a heart that beats against the dictates of its world.”
