Chapter 37
Super Lavender and Multi Girl vs Hoodon, member of the Midnight Eves Part 2
After casting a spell on Super Lavender to make her blind and deaf, she cast two large fireballs and aimed them straight at Betty. Marianne couldn't help her because she was losing control of her Multitude powers. She eventually lost control of her own self and fainted down on the ground because she lost control mentally. It is now up to Betty to finish Hoodon off. Since she cannot see and hear the fireballs, she is rendered useless by Hoodon herself. Then, Betty's body started moving automatically. She subconsciously moved so fast that Hoodon couldn't keep up. She got close and stabbed Hoodon with the Devils Spear, which burned her out of existence, and all the spells she has cast has worn off. Betty got her sight and hearing back and looked at her Devils Spear and thought for a second that the spear, the devil's spirit, was talking before she turned herself back to normal and fell down on the floor too.
The searing heat of Hoodon's fireballs was a sensation Betty couldn't feel, couldn't hear. The spells of destruction, once a terrifying spectacle, were now a void. She was deaf, blind, rendered utterly useless against the onslaught. Two immense spheres of flame hurtled towards her, their infernal glow a silent threat. Beside her, Marianne’s struggles were a faint, desperate echo. The rainbow hues of her boosted power flickered erratically, a sign of her fracturing control. With a choked cry, Marianne’s consciousness fractured completely, her body collapsing onto the scorched earth, her multitude powers dissipating into nothingness. It was all on Betty now.
But Betty’s body, guided by an instinct deeper than sight or sound, moved. A phantom awareness, a whisper of the Devil’s Spear pulsing against her skin, took over. She was a blur, a phantom of motion that Hoodon, even with her formidable magic, couldn't track. The witch’s spells, meant to bind and destroy, were dodged with impossible grace. Betty closed the distance, the Devil’s Spear, now glowing with an ominous crimson light, a beacon in the darkness. With a final, desperate surge, she plunged it deep into Hoodon. A searing, silent scream ripped through the air, not of sound, but of pure, unadulterated magic. Hoodon’s form dissolved into an inferno of black and red, consumed by the very darkness she wielded. The oppressive spells that had choked the city evaporated, and with them, Betty’s blindness and deafness receded, replaced by the harsh reality of the battlefield. Her vision cleared, her hearing returned, and she looked down at the Devil’s Spear, its tip still smoldering. For a fleeting moment, she swore she heard a voice, a dark, seductive whisper from the devil’s spirit bound within the weapon. Then, the surge of power receded, and Betty, drained and trembling, collapsed onto the ground.
