Chapter 33
Dennis.O.Longshun, the leader of the Council of the Crystals
Ryder asked Darkdrake where his partner is. Billy sensed his breathing using his Sword of Absorption and located the partner. The man is Tidalthree, another member of the Council of the Crystals. He has transportation powers and is responsible for the transportation of the other heroes to the Sahara Desert. He told Darkdrake to focus on their objective before their leader, Dennis Longshun (Lightmage) gets mad. Darkdrake freed himself from the red earth and told Tidalthree that it is time. Tidalthree transported Ryder Linct to an area in the wildernesses of Australia. It is at that place where he met Dennis Longshun (Lightmage), the leader of the Council of the Crystals. Dennis Longshun was a peaceful person who has light powers. He told Ryder Linct to peacefully give up the green calcium carbonate stone and he will end the invasion before it gets worse. Ryder didn't listen and resorted to fighting. However, Dennis took out a light sword and easily cut off his arm and incapacitated him before he did anything at all, and he did it all while smiling at him.
Ryder Linct’s gaze snapped to the bound Darkdrake, his senses humming with a primal alertness. "Where's your partner?" he demanded, his voice a low, dangerous rumble that vibrated in the humid air. Billy, his hand a comforting weight on the obsidian hilt of the Sword of Absorption, closed his eyes, his brow furrowed in concentration. The subtle thrum of a distant heartbeat, an alien cadence both powerful and unsettling, began to filter through his heightened awareness. He gestured towards a sliver of shadow clinging to the mouth of a narrow alleyway. "There. He's breathing."
From the inky depths of the alley, a figure detached itself from the gloom, cloaked and radiating an aura that prickled the skin. This was Tidalthree, another cog in the machinery of the Council of the Crystals, the unseen hand orchestrating their current plight. His power was the very fabric of transit, the bending of space itself. "Focus on the objective, Darkdrake," Tidalthree’s voice was a silken whisper, smooth and chilling, like ice sliding over stone. "Our leader, Dennis Longshun, will not be pleased by this… delay." Darkdrake, his inferno of rage momentarily banked, offered a curt nod. He writhed, shedding the constricting bonds of Karak Krohickey’s earth as if they were mere dust motes. A wicked grin, sharp and predatory, stretched across his face. "It's time," he declared, his voice laced with anticipation.
A surge of raw power emanated from Tidalthree, and the world around Ryder Linct dissolved into a dizzying maelstrom of color and light. He cried out as he was violently wrenched from the familiar, grimy streets of Buenos Aires, the very air tearing at him. He landed not with a thud, but with a jarring impact on parched, cracked earth. The Australian sun, a relentless, white-hot disc, beat down with an oppressive intensity. Before him stood a man, his form shimmering with an almost blinding aura of pure, radiant light. This was Dennis Longshun, the leader of the Council of the Crystals, a being of immense power cloaked in a facade of deceptive serenity.
