Chapter 30
Lincoln Saint, Captain of the Silver Legacy Part 1
Meanwhile, Drake 2 still overwhelmed the Saint siblings with it's abilities. Lincoln, having gotten annoyed of this disadvantage , told himself that enough is enough. Lincoln (outraged) summons a katana made of silver and cuts Drake 2 into half baked pieces faster than the monster can absorb attacks. Battlax Saint and Miranda Saint got astonished because of what happened. They acknowledge his strength and leadership and aspire to be just like him. Betty and Marianne passed by. Battlax didn't appreciate their visit. Lincoln asked his younger brother to calm down. Marianne got bored and told Betty that they had to go. Betty followed Marianne, who wanted to go somewhere fun. Lincoln spotted Drake 5 putting the other heroes in trouble and, along with Battlax Saint and Miranda Saint, went to lend a helping hand.
Drake 2, an amorphous blob of raw power, continued to overwhelm the Saint siblings. Battlax and Miranda, their faces streaked with grime and sweat, were pushed to their absolute limits, each parry and dodge a desperate gamble. Lincoln, his jaw set in a grim line, watched the struggle with a growing impatience that simmered into outright annoyance. "Enough is enough," he growled, the words barely a whisper against the roar of the creature. With a surge of righteous fury, he thrust out his hand, and a katana, forged from pure, shimmering silver, materialized in his grasp. The blade hummed with an ancient energy, a stark contrast to the chaotic, dark aura of Drake 2. In a blur of motion, faster than the monster could even register, Lincoln moved. The silver katana sang through the air, a blinding streak against the already chaotic backdrop. With a series of impossibly swift, precise strikes, he bisected Drake 2 into a multitude of half-baked, smoking pieces. The creature, which had seemed so invincible moments before, dissolved into nothingness, unable to absorb an attack that happened too quickly for its very essence to comprehend. Battlax Saint and Miranda Saint stared, their mouths agape, their astonishment a palpable wave in the suddenly quiet air. They looked at their older brother with newfound awe, their young hearts swelling with admiration. They finally acknowledged his formidable strength, his uncanny leadership, and in that moment, they aspired to one day stand as tall as him.
Betty and Marianne, having diverged from their larger group to cover more ground and deepen their burgeoning friendship, happened to pass by the scene of Drake 2's demise. Battlax, his annoyance at their presence simmering, scowled, his gaze sharp and unwelcoming. Lincoln, ever the peacemaker, gently nudged his younger brother, his eyes conveying a silent plea for calm. Marianne, her attention already wandering, felt a familiar ennui creep into her vibrant spirit. "Betty," she said, her voice light and airy, a stark contrast to the recent battle, "we really should be going. This is hardly entertaining." Betty, always eager to please her new friend, nodded, her gaze already searching the horizon for something more engaging. She followed Marianne, her steps light and eager, her mind already drifting towards more pleasant pursuits. Lincoln, his sharp eyes scanning the wider battlefield, spotted Drake 5, its insatiable hunger causing a fresh wave of trouble for a group of other heroes. With a decisive nod to his younger siblings, he declared, "Let's go lend a hand," and the three Saint siblings, united by purpose, moved with swift determination to join the fray.
