Chapter 29
Illusion
Ryder Linct,Casey Linct and Karak Krohickey headed to Billy's side, where they found Billy and Lisa desperately fighting against Drake 1. At the same time, they also noticed the powerful Drake 5 beginning its rampage of hunger. They ignored that and decided to assist Billy and Lisa. Casey Linct and Karak Krohickey came to help by beating Drake 1 to a pulp. Billy thanked them for assisting. As for Ryder Linct,he confronted the attacker Darkdrake. Darkdrake's illusion powers became stronger due to his anger harboured at the hero society. He created a large black dragon and it surrounded Ryder. Darkdrake got on the dragon and teased him and his strength, thinking that he is not strong enough to defeat him. Ryder Linct exhaled, shot himself up to the sky and easily penetrated the black dragon, without even using his powers. Darkdrake got mad and also panicked and then created two more black dragons so that they can prove as a challenge to Ryder. He got down and attempted to use his powers, but Drake 1 stopped him and shot him away.
The cacophony of battle echoed through Buenos Aires, a grim symphony of destruction and desperation. Ryder Linct, his brow furrowed with grim determination, led his Red Light companions, Casey and Karak, towards the western sector. They arrived to find Billy and Lisa locked in a fierce, almost losing, struggle against Drake 1. The monstrous creature, a whirlwind of razor-sharp claws and unyielding hide, had Billy and Lisa on the defensive, their powers pushed to their limits. Just as the siblings seemed on the verge of collapse, Casey and Karak charged into the fray, their coordinated attacks a brilliant counterpoint to Drake 1's brute force. With a series of well-placed blows, they battered the creature into submission, its roars of pain finally silenced. Billy, breathing heavily, offered a grateful nod to his allies. "Thanks," he managed, his voice rough with exertion. "We had him."
Their brief respite was shattered by the distant, guttural roar of Drake 5, its insatiable hunger now a tangible threat as it continued its rampage, devouring buildings with terrifying efficiency. The Red Light trio exchanged worried glances, but their immediate priority lay with the confrontation unfolding before them. Ryder, however, felt a different pull, a primal urge to face the architect of this chaos. He turned, his gaze locking onto the figure of Darkdrake, who had been observing the unfolding destruction with chilling detachment.
Darkdrake, his anger at the hero society a palpable aura, sneered at Ryder. His illusionary powers, fueled by his rage, intensified. With a flick of his wrist, the air shimmered and coalesced, forming a colossal black dragon. The beast coiled and writhed, its scales like obsidian, its eyes burning with malevolent intent. Darkdrake, perched atop its serpentine neck, let out a mocking laugh. "You think you can challenge me, Linct? Your strength is but a flicker against the inferno of my power."
