The battle against the Drakes continues
Because Lucas's glass shards weren't enough against the building eating Drake 5,Cooper Tasters suggested something else. She tried to blast it down using her crimson thorns but nothing works. Meanwhile, Ryder Linct,Casey Linct and Karak Krohickey evacuated the people to safety. They met up with Drake 6(which resembles a giant spider). Casey wants to enjoy this fight but Karak warned him to be careful around Drake 6. Ryder suggested the same thing and told them that they'll be working together to defeat this monstrosity. Meanwhile, Billy solely began fighting Drake 1. Lisa helped out by using her super strength powers but her power wasn't strong enough. Cassie Shrout (a member of the Black Beginners) peacefully stood out of the fight and helped boost Billy and Lisa's energies so that they can have a fighting chance. Darkdrake sat and watched and doubted that they can succeed. Meanwhile, Lincoln Saint, Battlax Saint and Miranda Saint were having a problem with the silver skin Drake 2. Battlax used his Cobalt powers and Miranda used her Copper powers to try and stop Drake 2.
Lucas’s shards of solidified light shattered against the unyielding carapace of Drake 5, a colossal scorpion that continued its relentless consumption of the city, each devoured building adding to its terrifying bulk. Cooper Tasters, a vivid contrast of crimson against the encroaching grey, unleashed a torrent of her thorny projectiles, but they merely pinged off the monster’s hardened exoskeleton, dissolving into harmless dust. Farther down the ravaged avenues, Ryder Linct, accompanied by his younger siblings Casey and Karak Krohickey, was guiding the last of the terrified civilians to safety. Their escape route abruptly converged with Drake 6, an eight-legged horror that dwarfed the surrounding skyscrapers, its hairy limbs scuttling with unnerving speed. Casey, his eyes alight with the thrill of battle, was about to charge when Karak’s hand clamped onto his shoulder. “Easy, Casey,” Karak’s voice was a low rumble, laced with unease. “This one… it feels wrong.” Ryder nodded, his gaze fixed on the arachnid monstrosity. “We’re a team on this. No rushing in alone.”
Meanwhile, Billy Rodrick, codenamed Waterloo, found himself locked in a brutal solo engagement with Drake 1. The sheer, unadulterated power radiating from the beast was a physical weight pressing down on him. Lisa Parkers, Blaze Z, joined the fray, her super strength a potent weapon, but even her amplified might could only chip away at the gargantuan creature. Amidst the escalating chaos, Cassie Shrout, her presence a beacon of calm, stepped forward. She extended her hands, a soft, golden light blooming between her palms, channeling her energy to bolster Billy and Lisa, granting them a much-needed surge of power. High above, perched on a crumbling edifice, Darkdrake observed the struggle, a cruel smile twisting his lips as he savored their evident desperation, his faith in his creations unwavering.
Across town, in the eastern sector, Lincoln Saint, Battlax Saint, and Miranda Saint faced a formidable foe in Drake 2, its silver skin now impossibly resistant. Lincoln’s silver spikes, usually a potent weapon, slid harmlessly off its polished hide. Battlax unleashed a concentrated barrage of cobalt energy, while Miranda countered with focused streams of copper, but the Drake simply absorbed their attacks, its metallic sheen growing ever brighter, a silent testament to its growing resilience.
