Chapter 12
Billy's Battle
Loon, recovering from Betty's attack, rises again and fatally stabs Betty in the chest. As she collapses, bleeding, Loon heads for the treasure room, believing his victory assured. Kastor, powerless against the 'unbeatable' Loon, can only watch. Billy, Lisa, and Scott arrive. Scott, needing time to heal, rests. Her vision narrowed, focusing on the widening pool of crimson blooming on her lavender suit, a stark contrast to the power that had always pulsed within her. She sank to her knees, the rough stone biting into her skin.
