Barbara Rodrick’s embrace was as warm as the hearth fire that had always blazed in their modest home. “My brave girl,” she murmured, her voice thick with emotion, stroking Betty’s hair. “You saved me. You saved us all.” A grateful smile touched Betty’s lips, a rare softening of her determined expression. Lori Pascallian stood beside her, a quiet presence radiating gentle support, while Brandon Sanders and Kastor Campbell offered nods of respect. The ordeal was over, the ransom paid not in coin, but in courage and ingenuity.
As they turned to leave, a shimmering distortion rippled the air. The light coalesced, and there, standing before them, was Simon Parkers, the Ultimate Hero himself, SuperSeven. His presence was like a calming storm, a force of nature held perfectly in check. Betty, Lori, Brandon, and Kastor froze, a collective breath held captive. SuperSeven’s gaze swept over them, lingering on Betty. “A strong heart,” he stated, his voice resonating with a power that vibrated through their very bones. “And a commitment to those you love. You remind me of your brother, Super Lavender.” A flicker of surprise crossed Betty’s face, a swift, almost imperceptible tightening of her jaw. “And you,” he continued, his gaze encompassing Lori, Brandon, and Kastor, “show the true strength of a hero: loyalty, support, and unwavering aid when a friend is in need. The Yellow Disk has found its pride.” He offered a gentle, knowing smile. “We will meet again, one day.” With another ripple of light, he was gone, leaving them stunned into silence.
Back at the Yellow Disk’s headquarters, Damian Yole greeted them with a broad smile. “Betty, Lori, Kastor! An excellent mission, completed with remarkable skill and bravery. Your teamwork was exemplary.” He clapped Kastor on the shoulder, then turned his attention back to Betty, his gaze warm and approving. “You have proven yourselves worthy. Keep up this exceptional work.”
