The scent of damp earth and crushed petals was a comforting balm, a familiar symphony that Mika orchestrously conducted with her gentle hands. Sunlight, filtered through the shop’s dusty panes, painted shifting patterns on the worn wooden floor, illuminating the quiet industry of her days. Today, however, a subtle discord had entered her peaceful melody. It was Shella. Shella, the storm that had swept into Mika’s tranquil harbor, and whose presence now felt as essential as the air she breathed, yet as volatile as a summer tempest.

Shella was leaning against the counter, her posture relaxed, yet coiled with an underlying tension that always seemed to hum beneath her skin. Her dark eyes, usually sharp and assessing, held a flicker of something unreadable, something akin to… wistfulness? Mika blinked, a small frown creasing her brow. Shella, the queen of shadows, the woman who commanded fear with a mere glance, looking wistful? It was a notion as foreign as a desert bloom in winter.
