Soo-Jin's recording clears Ethan and Nelly. They expose the conspiracy, face the press, and finally celebrate their wedding in the village, surrounded by love and freedom.
Ethan held the phone Soo-Jin had thrust into his hands. The screen showed a single audio file, labeled with a date and time that matched the day Kang-Dae had publicly betrayed him. His thumb hovered over the play button.
"Wait," Nelly said, stepping beside him. She looked at Soo-Jin. "Why now? You could have used this to destroy us both."
Soo-Jin's shoulders sagged. "Because I saw what this game does to people. My father is a monster. Kang-Dae is worse. I don't want to be a pawn anymore." She met Nelly's eyes. "I'm sorry for what I did. I can't undo it, but I can help you end it."
